Middleton Road is to be closed for resurfacing works on the railway bridge next to Heysham Golf Club. The road will be closed to motor vehicles daily between 8am and 6pm from Thursday 9th May 2024 until Tuesday 14th May 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.

Lancashire County Council is seeking public feedback on proposals for new active travel (walking, cycling and wheeling) routes in Lancaster district.
The parish council has been notified that the Middle Inn which has been operating out of the parish hall bar is to close, with Friday 22 September to be the last day of trading.
Elections for City Councillors and Parish Councillors in the Lancaster district will take place on Thursday 4th May 2023.
- Overton Ward (which includes Middleton) will elect one City Councillor.
- Middleton Parish will elect up to nine Parish Councillors.
