Lancaster City Council adopted its Local Plan on 29th July 2020. However, the Council want the Local Plan to do more in relation to Climate Change, in particular for the Plan to reflect the aims and aspirations of the Climate Emergency Declaration which was issued in January 2019. Accordingly, the Council have commenced an immediate review of the Plan in the context of Climate Change to strengthen its approach to the causes and impacts of this matter.
