Lancashire County Council has announced changes to many bus services in August 2025, including changes to the timetable of the number 5 (Overton - Middleton - Heysham - Morecambe - Carnforth).

The county council stated:

From 31 August 2025, Stagecoach will revise the timetable, introducing timing adjustments at around school times to improve overall service reliability.

The details of the new timetable are not yet published, but will appear on lancashire.gov.uk and traveline.info.
