Have your say on a proposal to create a new unitary authority around Morecambe Bay

Lancashire County Council and Lancaster City Council are working together to provide the delivery of major transport improvements in the District of Lancaster. The overall aim is to enable Lancaster to grow and also to promote sustainable travel options to access the city centre.

Lancaster City Council adopted its Local Plan on 29th July 2020. However, the Council want the Local Plan to do more in relation to Climate Change, in particular for the Plan to reflect the aims and aspirations of the Climate Emergency Declaration which was issued in January 2019. Accordingly, the Council have commenced an immediate review of the Plan in the context of Climate Change to strengthen its approach to the causes and impacts of this matter.
